Bernard Meninskywas a Ukrainian-born British painter, illustrator, and teacher associated with the London Group. Known for his lyrical figurative works and expressive landscapes, he studied at Liverpool School of Art and the Slade School. Meninsky served as an official war artist during World War I. His later career included teaching at Central School of Arts and Crafts. Despite his talent, he struggled with mental health issues and tragically died by suicide in 1950.
Roger Fry and Bernard Meninsky would exhibit alongside each other throughout the first quarter of the 20th century.
