Pair of Large White Enamel Benjamin Pendant Lamps, Circa 1950
6423
A striking pair of large white enamel Benjamin pendant lamps, dating from circa 1950. With their generous scale, clean industrial silhouette, and softly reflective enamelled shades, these lights bring a wonderfully authentic mid-century character to an interior.
Originally designed for robust, practical illumination, the broad domed shades direct light downward while their pale enamel finish helps to create a bright, even glow. The pared-back form and substantial proportions make them particularly effective when hung as a pair over a kitchen island, dining table, long worktable, bar, or in a loft-style, utility, or commercial setting. They also work beautifully in more traditional interiors, adding an understated industrial contrast.
The lamps have been professionally rewired with smart chrome fittings and black twisted fabric flex, giving them a practical contemporary update while retaining their original mid-century appeal. Both lamps have been PAT tested.
A handsome and highly versatile pair of vintage pendant lights, combining useful scale, honest industrial design, and the timeless appeal of white enamelware. Please refer to photographs for condition, dimensions, and details of the original finish.
