Anne Messel, later Anne, Countess of Rosse (1902-1992), was an influential British socialite and the mother of photographer Antony Armstrong-Jones, 1st Earl of Snowdon. Born into the prominent Messel family, known for their patronage of the arts, Anne had a deep appreciation for culture and design.
She first married Ronald Armstrong-Jones, with whom she had two children. Following their divorce, she married Michael Parsons, 6th Earl of Rosse, and became deeply involved in the restoration of Birr Castle in Ireland.
